It is a common saying that one should not keep their pent-up emotions in. To me, thoughts are the same. Words stir within you, buzzing like a maelstrom beneath your skin, contained by your very bone and flesh - until they can’t. Some time or later, they’ll find a way out, gushing like a volcano, spewing in ash, flame and smoke.
That’s why I started this blog, to set my thoughts free, to allow them to make their own individual, unique indent on the world, no matter how minor or small. Perhaps in a way, writing is also akin to an adventure in my head - the uncertainty and feeling of danger brought about by that click that sends your work to the realm of the internet for all to see. And after much consideration, I’ve realised that the sheer temptation of such a desire might lie in the fact that it allows me to extend beyond the textbook given, giving me a moment of aberration from such imaginary limits and instead exploring the endless possibilities of both philosophical and theoretical theories.
Indeed, most might think, shouldn’t you have an innate understanding of your thoughts? However, thoughts are in a constant evolution of change, influenced by the most minor of events that occur, in fact, the simple act of me talking to my friend had me starting this blog and small talks of conversation might lead to big philosophical revelations whilst long lengthy discussions might end with no viable conclusion. Life is arbitrary at most times and so are our thoughts.

As I sit here, I am pondering the purpose of my actions - if we are all simply going to die someday is there truly a reason to aspire for such high standards in life? No matter what I do, most of my thoughts will change and evolve and likely be forgotten in the end, so is there truly a point to all this work?
Truthfully no, in the very end, any legacy or history you leave behind will be reduced to nought in the afterlife. But perhaps the point of writing is to make the most of the current moment, to explore life in its simplest and clearest form - words. Your thoughts will all stem from different origins and branch out further as time passes, so shouldn’t you make the best of this current version of yourselves?
